These are the words of
Combeferre, one of the Friends of the ABC, when Feully, another
member of the friendship mentions the names of people who brag that
they would help the revolution, but vanish when the day comes.
I find the sarcasm in
it amusing and at the same time sad. It reminds us how easy it is to
talk, and how difficult it is to be true to our words. I believe that
doing what we say is also part of being honourable. After all, it is
better no to say anything than say a lot of things without doing it.
